A Showa-period Japanese gourd vase in aka-e overglaze. Birds, flowers and bamboo are drawn with lively, controlled strokes. The gourd outline is full without heaviness — a traditional wish for blessing. A potter's mark 「陶」 sits on the base. Desk, shelf or small floral use. A warm classical note in a modern room.
