A tokkuri vase from Iwakagama of Kyoto Kiyomizu ware. Wanli-style aka-e painting sets phoenix and flowers on clear white porcelain. Red enamel stays vivid yet controlled; brushwork is full and assured. The rounded body and soft shoulder recall classic sake-vessel proportions. Display as vessel or with a few stems. For lovers of classical Japanese overglaze colour.
