An Arita lidded bowl in white porcelain, hand-painted with cobalt chrysanthemums edged in gilt. The footed cup and matching domed lid form one complete silhouette; lift the lid to reveal a clean white interior. Blue and gold hold clear layers in the light; a craftsman's red mark sits in the lid knob. For tea, small sweets, or pure display on a tea table or cabinet.
